As a general note about all our tutors, we only employ those whose attitude to teaching and ability to teach impress us upon interview. They are our sole asset, and we depend on their quality to generate future teaching opportunities through recommendations from happy students and their mums and dads. AMG appreciates any feedback that you can give about our staff as it is a vital source of information for continuing staff evaluation and training.
I hope that all lessons at AMG are both useful and enjoyable, and I encourage all staff to liaise with parents as major stake-holders in their children’s education. Should you need any further details about our tutors, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Liz Gower, on 2526-4097, or at firstname.lastname@example.org

Tutor of English Literature and Language Full time
Rebecca joined AMG in July 2011, and worked with us for three years. She has always been extremely popular as a tutor and I am delighted that she is joining us again this September (2016).
Prior to joining us she spent over two years tutoring in Hong Kong, both privately and for tuition centres. She has excellent qualifications to back up her love of tutoring: In 2004, she was awarded the Boulter Exhibition Prize for Academic Writing; she has a First Class BA in English from Christ Church College in Oxford and an MPhil in English Renaissance Literature from King’s College in Cambridge. She has also worked for Simon Mort Reports Ltd, reviewing business reports for their grammar, style and overall effectiveness of purpose, and as an editor for Savills (HK) Limited. She gives accurate and clear advice to students aiming for English examinations ranging from 13+ to A2 and IB level, and I recommend her with confidence.
Tutor of English and Creative Writing PT
Alicia comes to AMG with the following qualifications: A BA in English from Rutgers University, New Jersey, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from New York University, both in the USA. She is an experienced tutor, having worked for another reputed HK tuition centre from 2010 until 2013. She then became a visiting fellow with the University of Hong Kong from 2013 – 2015, teaching both creative writing and the freshman English course. She now works full-time with the Vocational Training Council, but her desire to teach creative writing put her in touch with AMG. Alicia is gentle and smart, and I expect her classes to be stimulating, fun and productive. She is available for Saturday tuition with AMG, and I believe that her contribution will add greatly to AMG and its continuing services to our students.

In total, she has more than 17 years of working and teaching experience at Advanced levels. Here at AMG, she has taught students whose courses prepare them towards the GCSE, IGCSE, AS and A2 qualifications in Economics, as well as for the IB diploma in Economics.
She is a popular teacher whose timetable fills rapidly at holiday times, as students returning from the UK schools oftentimes request her. Usually demand outstrips the number of hours that Florence is able to give to AMG. She is a fluent speaker of both English and Cantonese, but teaches solely in English (unless the student requests a break in that language).

Tutor of German PT
Hannes has been working with AMG on a part-time basis since July 2008, and has a large following of students who attend his lessons during the holiday periods in particular. His personal weekly teaching schedule is usually rather fully-booked since he is a renowned personal tutor, and he teaching times are scarce and valuable.
He is a native speaker of German, hailing from Heidelberg in Germany and has taught for Berlitz Language Centers in Hong Kong. He teaches towards the GCSE, IGCSE and IB programmes here in HK, and also helps our UK-based students prepare towards their AS and A2 examinations.
His students find him to be approachable, confidence-inspiring and professional, and his teaching gains good results. I have been trying to persuade him to join us full-time since he joined us.
Tutor of French and Spanish FT
Bobby is a registered teacher in Hong Kong and began work with AMG in September 2007. He has a Bachelors degree in French Language and Literature and Spanish Language and Literature which he completed in 1994 from the Ministry of Education and Al. I. Cuza University, Romania. From 1994 – 1996, he taught Modern Languages in Iasi in Romania, in a school which used the Baccalaureate examining system. He moved then to Casablanca, Morocco, where he taught French and Universal Literature from 1996 – 2001. Between 2001 and 2003, he taught French and Universal Literature in Kirkenes in Norway before heading to France (2003-2005) where he taught in both Saint Etienne and Lyon (French, English and Universal Literature). From 2005, Bobby taught in Dongguan at the International College. At AMG, he has taught towards the GCSE and IB examinations, but like most modern linguists, he prefers generating language skills in the target language to simply preparing for exams.
Bobby is a quiet, serious teacher, whose passion for the languages he teaches is evident. He has a rare sense of humour and his regular students get on extremely well with him.
